Serbian synthwave producer Isidor keeps his run on NewRetroWave going with Satsuma Shogun, a new single out since 23 October 2026 on NRW Records.
It is his third single for the label this year, after Turbo Fighter in July and Cryobotica at the end of September. When Turbo Fighter came out, NewRetroWave added a promise on its Bandcamp page: “A new album is on the way!”
The cover swaps the usual neon grid for ink and paper: a giant black brushstroke X slashed across a snowy mountain and a red rising sun, with two tiny figures waiting at the foot of the picture. NewRetroWave announced the track under #retrowave, #synthwave and #darksynth.
Satsuma Shogun runs 4:18, and Isidor Bobinec recorded, mixed and mastered it himself. Like the other two singles, it is released by NRW Records under exclusive licence to NewRetroWave, LLC.
Isidor works out of Novi Sad and introduces himself on Bandcamp as “a boundary-pushing synthwave producer at #NewRetroWave”, adding that his fans call him “Lord Of Synth”. His Spotify biography dates the start of his synthwave career to 2016 and points to a background in classical music and trumpet.
