London-based synthpop project DPM Project sends us “Run”, the lead single from the eight-track EP Gamma, out on Electric Eden Records.
DPM Project pairs Chilean singer-songwriter Diego Poupin-Hirane, who has lived in London for more than 25 years, with composer Andrés Markmann. Markmann wrote the music and Diego the lyrics. The band describes “Run” as brooding synths, a hypnotic rhythm and a melodic vocal, and says the song nods to Bronski Beat’s “Smalltown Boy” and to Empire of the Sun.
Gamma came out in September 2026. Alongside “No More Lies”, “Someone” and “The Hunter”, it carries the original “Run” plus two reworks, an Alternate Mix and an Alternate Indie Mix, and a pair of extra mixes of “No More Lies”.
