Amsterdam darkwave project Subject Sue presses her debut EP Details In The Dark to limited vinyl on 21 October 2026 through Italian label Avant! Records.
The six-track EP — Details In The Dark, Hides, Way Too Much, Treat, Under My Skin and Cry — sits between darkwave and ethereal techno: pulsating synthesizers, textured soundscapes and layered vocal harmonies drawn from Amsterdam’s queer nightlife. Side-Line places it alongside Boy Harsher, NNHMN, Mercy Girl, Minuit Machine and Tempers.
Avant! issues the record as a 180-gram black 12-inch MLP limited to 200 copies (AV!104). Digital and vinyl share the 21 October date; the title track and Under My Skin already circulated as singles with videos on the label channel. The embedded clip is the official Under My Skin video.
Subject Sue is the solo outlet of an Amsterdam vocalist and keyboard player with a Visual Arts background. What began as a stage alter ego became her space for desire, identity and nocturnal club music; her Club Dystopia live show ran more than 80 performances through summer 2026, with light design by .WEST Studio and movement direction by Jain Fellain.
