Belgian synthpop projects Infrablack and Nevel released their first collaboration, No Angel, on 9 October 2026, with an official video on Infrablack’s channel.
The single reworks a song producer Bart Van Meulebroeck first put out in 2001 under his earlier project Propulsion. Infrablack’s Eddy Scheire sent him a vintage-synthesizer demo in late 2025; Van Meulebroeck rebuilt it with contemporary beats and production, revived those Propulsion lyrics, and added new female vocals.
Scheire’s demo leaned on the Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis and Tangerine Dream references that run through Infrablack’s catalogue. “I always wanted to make a Moby track,” Van Meulebroeck said of the result.
Infrablack is Scheire’s solo project, launched in 2020, with albums Voltage Controlled Reality (February 2024) and Time-Lapse on German label ZYX. Nevel is Van Meulebroeck’s project across psychedelic dub, ambient and leftfield electronica; Side-Line covered his Sunvoices single with The Neon Judgement’s Dirk Da Davo in 2025.
