Finnish coldwave and synthpunk artist Suzi Sabotage released the single Sacrifice on 15 October 2026 through Out Of Line Music.
Built on a 130 BPM drum machine, 1980s-flavoured synths and vocals that move between a low brooding register and a lighter one, the track is about how unprocessed trauma can turn into anger aimed at people who had no part in causing it. “The lyrics were written about how some people’s trauma shapeshifts into sadism,” Suzi Sabotage says. “They seethe in vengeful rage against the wrongdoers, but end up hurting those who never hurt them, because they often make far easier targets.”
Suzi Sabotage wrote, mixed and mastered Sacrifice herself. The cover photo is by Sasha Araya. On digital platforms the Out Of Line Music release also gathers six earlier tracks from her label years, including She-Demon, Suden synty, Love At First Bite, Oodi surulle, I Am The Storm and Persona Non Grata.
Based in Helsinki, Suzi Sabotage (Suzi Nyberg) previously fronted the post-punk band Masquerade and played keyboards in Virgin In Veil. Her solo debut album Postmodern Dystopia came out in 2021 on Bat-Cave Productions; she signed to Out Of Line Music in 2022.
