A new chapter, a new city. Mystery Skulls, the project Luis Dubuc has run under that name since 2011, released Moving To New York Mixtape on 23 October 2026 on his own Mystery Skulls Music.
The mixtape packs ten short, sharp songs into barely half an hour: “Good Times”, “Anxious & Horny”, the title track “Moving to New York”, “Antigravity”, “10,000 Lifetimes”, “Already Dead”, “Dance With You”, “Shadow Weighs A Ton”, “Unlovable” and “To The Top”.
It comes in two ways. Alongside the separate tracks there is a full continuous mix running 28 minutes, which stitches the whole set together the way a proper mixtape should. “Anxious & Horny” went out first, as a single on 9 October.
It follows the album Maximum Joy, and it lands just as Mystery Skulls heads out on a November fall tour with Fox Stevenson. The run starts at the WOW Hall in Eugene, Oregon on 3 November and takes in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Toronto and Brooklyn before closing at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston on 22 November.
