Bunny X, the New York retrowave duo of Abigail Gordon and Jenny Bates, released Love On A High Floor (Instrumentals) on 6 November 2026 through Aztec Records.
The eleven-track set is the instrumental edition of Love On A High Floor, their third full-length album, which arrived on 14 August 2026. On Bandcamp the duo frames the new version as a return to “the sounds and atmosphere of 1980s Wall Street excess and the New York City skyline,” with the vocals stripped so “the shimmering synths and melodies take center stage.”
Without the lyrics, the record still runs the officewave route through early-career ambition, office romances, cocktail bars and late-night taxi rides. Collaborators from the vocal album remain in the credits, including SelloRekt / LA Dreams, Don Dellpiero, Gosteffects’ John Bourke, original member Mary Hanley and The Lightning Kids.
The running order mirrors the August release: “Starting Dreams”, “True Confession”, “One Touch”, “Even If We Don’t Talk”, “After Hours”, “Take Me Away”, “Night Moves”, the title track, “Believe In You”, “Business Trip” and “Lovers”.
Bunny X call it an unmistakable Officewave music experience. For anyone who lived with the sung version through the autumn, this is the same skyline with the voices left downstairs.
