Pittsburgh synthwave project Arcade High is back with a self-titled album, Arcade High, out on 16 October 2026. The ten-track record is up for pre-order on Bandcamp now, and its single “Sincerely Secret” has been out since 2 October.
The Bandcamp notes call it the most personal Arcade High album to date. It arrives “after a long couple years filled with challenges, two heartbreaks, and an ultimate decision on whether or not to continue making music.” The songs run from core childhood memories to navigating adulthood, and to how nostalgia shaped the person making them.
For “Sincerely Secret,” Arcade High set a challenge: build an entire track around a single vocal sample. The result is meant as “a romantic and fun send-off to warm weather.”
The album opens with “Read-Only Memories” and closes with “Thanks for Playing,” passing through “California Games,” “11:11,” “Class of ’93” and “Minutes to Midnight.” Ryan Boosel and Nelson Boosel mixed it, and Charles Michaud (Sid 64), who also mastered Kingdom and Kingdom II, mastered it for Preference Mastering. The credits also state that no AI was used in the music or its promotional material.
Arcade High describes its music as “songs that conjure images of letterman jackets, arcade lights, fast cars, and warm summer nights.” Earlier releases include Pixel Passion from June 2013, Kingdom from April 2016 and Kingdom II from October 2021, and the 16-bit slasher-themed single “Splatter” arrived in October 2025.
