Lille electro darkwave duo Dark Minimal Project return with I’m Not in Love, their first single on Danse Macabre Records. It came out on 16 October 2026 and is taken from a new album due in 2027.
Guillaume VDR wrote the words and music and handles voices and keyboards, while Ange Vesper adds keyboards and pads. Peter Rainman produced the track together with the duo and took care of the mixing and mastering.
Despite the familiar title, this is an original song. It is a cold, clear-eyed farewell: a narrator who refuses to pretend any longer, lets go of a hand that no longer fits and keeps returning to the same verdict, “I’m not in love with you.”
Formed in 2022 by Guillaume VDR and Ange Vesper, the pair released their debut album Cold Black Room that same year, followed by Ghost Of Modern Times in 2023, Pleasure Is A Sin in 2025 and, in May 2026, the EP And Sometimes with dBoy of Paris cold-wave trio Je T’aime. Along the way they have also remixed Front 242, Dominatrix and Das Ich.
