Los Angeles musician and producer Aryan Ashtiani, better known as Mareux, is back with Cadillac Casket, a new single out since 23 October 2026 through Revolution Records and Warner Records.
It is the first preview of his next full-length album, which is still in the works. Ashtiani wrote the song on piano first, then developed it with producer Elliott Kozel, whose credits include Rosalía and Eartheater.
The result is darkwave you can dance to: a repeating bass synth, icy keyboards and ghostly vocals, with piano lines drifting through the mix. Post-Punk.com hears post-punk’s romantic severity meeting the mechanical precision of French electro, with a touch of glam on top.
According to Post-Punk.com, the new material returns to the darker, smokier sound of his early records while keeping some of the range he opened up on Nonstop Romance, his 2025 album. It follows Lovers From the Past from 2023, and comes after The Perfect Girl, his 2021 viral hit, went double platinum.
The single arrives with an official lyric video on his YouTube channel. Mareux takes it on the road this autumn, with dates in London on 30 October, Paris/Montreuil, Athens, Istanbul and Tbilisi, followed by a December run through Chicago, Brooklyn, Washington, D.C. and Miami.
