Swedish synthpop duo Flare Dimension released their debut album Sad Girl Sad Boy on 16 October 2026 through Radiation Street Records. Side-Line reports that the vinyl edition has been in stores since July.
The band calls it electronic synthpop with a touch of sadness and hope. Synthpop is the foundation, but the eight tracks also reach for clubby beats, trance-like atmospheres, melancholy and hopeful themes.
Flare Dimension is singer-songwriter Caroline Wallerman and producer Jonas Pihlgren. Wallerman is credited as writer, vocalist and executive producer, while Pihlgren produced, mixed and mastered the record.
The album gathers the singles Leaving Home (27 March), Find Yourself (8 May), No You And I (26 June) and the title track (28 August), then adds Waiting, Friction, Regardless and the six-minute closer Electro Flare. Leaving Home came with the pixel-art video above.
According to Side-Line, the duo point to 1980s synthpop, electro and film scores as reference points, alongside Depeche Mode, CHVRCHES, Kite and The Knife. The 12-inch vinyl is a numbered edition limited to 300 copies.
Sad Girl Sad Boy is out now as a digital album and on vinyl via Bandcamp, and streaming on Apple Music.
