A Blue Ocean Dream, the synthpop project of Owe Emfestav from Gävle in Sweden, released the new single Minus & Plus on 6 November 2026 via I/O Music, together with an official video on the label’s channel.
It is the second single from the upcoming album True Emotions, following The Perfect One. The label calls it classic synthpop with its roots in the 80s and a modern sound.
Emfestav has been making music since the early 1980s, with Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode as early influences. He appeared on several Swedish synth compilations before the 2002 debut The Sea, and On the Road to Wisdom followed in 2005 on the Canadian synthpop label A Different Drum.
Alongside A Blue Ocean Dream he makes more dance-oriented music as Shaperwave. A third single, Follow Your Heart, is due on 1 January 2027, and True Emotions arrives on I/O Music on 15 January 2027.
