Forty-two years after “Slice Me Nice”, Fancy is back on the dancefloor. The Munich-born Euro disco singer released the twelve-track album One Last Time on 2 October 2026 through Lea Berndt Records.
The album pairs seven brand-new songs with a handful of rarities from his archive. The title track opens the set in a 2:48 single version and returns near the end as a 6:11 extended mix, the kind of twelve-inch stretch his eighties records were built for. Fancy wrote it himself under his long-standing alias Tess Teiges.
“Run Run Run For You”, co-written with Ron Diamond and out as a single on 5 September, brings sparkling synths, while “Nightlife In Soho” is a love letter to London’s nightlife quarter. “Full Moon Night”, “Sunny Side Of Life”, “Turn Back Time” and “Born For Eternity” fill out the new material.
For older fans there is “After Midnight (40 Years Anniversary)”, a fresh take on a song from his 1986 album Contact, plus two German-language rarities, “Die Zeit Hat Alles In Der Hand” and “Montparnasse”, and the instrumental “Remember Earth”.
Born Manfred Alois Segieth in Munich in 1946, Fancy scored his biggest hits in the eighties with “Slice Me Nice”, “Chinese Eyes”, “Bolero (Hold Me in Your Arms Again)” and “Flames of Love”. One Last Time follows Masquerade (Les Marionettes) from 2021 and Viva La Vida from 2023, and the title has fans wondering whether this really is the final chapter.
