CRED released the single Father on 6 November 2026 through Town And Towers Records. The Swedish West Coast duo of Bjarne Sund and Hans Karlsson built the track around a son searching for his father, and the repeated line “Father, guide me home.”
The song pairs dark electronic textures with driving synth rhythms and melancholic melodies, drawing on the tradition of 1980s synthpop and post-punk. Their Bandcamp page describes a sound inspired by 80s synthpop icons such as Depeche Mode, Elegant Machinery and OMD, and credits Sund and Karlsson as the writers.
CRED started in 2022, when Sund formed the project with Tony Berntsson. Fredrik Bergman of Etage Neun contributed as a guest vocalist in the early days, Karlsson later joined as the permanent singer, and Berntsson stepped away in autumn 2025. Father follows the October 2025 Town And Towers single Redemption and the albums Songs From The Vault, released in December 2025, and Bleed, from April 2026.
