The first of the month means a new White Bat. Paris-based producer Karl Casey released White Bat 65 on 1 November 2026, the latest chapter in the numbered series he puts out through his own White Bat Records.
Six tracks, a little under 22 minutes, and a running order that reads like a midnight double bill: “Decapitator”, “Sleepless”, “System Shock”, “Contact”, “Brundlefly” and “Chiaroscuro”.
Bandcamp files it under synthwave and darksynth, and the cover sets the mood: a pale bat cut out of the night sky, a lone house and a full moon inside its wings.
Since White Bat 31 in January 2024, a new volume has landed on the first day of every single month. Few names in synthwave keep a release habit that steady.
There is a practical side too. Casey runs White Bat Audio, and his music is cleared for creators to use in films, games, streams and YouTube videos, as long as they credit him. In his own FAQ he also states that no AI is used in his writing or production.
