Athens project Korfian is back with Melodramatic, a new single taken from the upcoming album Licensed Fool. The official video went up on his YouTube channel on 15 October 2026, and the track followed on Bandcamp on 16 October.
The song is written, produced and performed by Spyros Psarras, with co-production, mixing and mastering by Sweetspot Production in Athens.
The cover and video dress him as a court jester on a gilded throne, and the lyric follows the same idea. It is aimed at someone who keeps staging their suffering, with the narrator cast as their “licensed fool” who “held your weight for years / While you performed your pain”.
Korfian’s own Bandcamp page describes the project as “the sound of unbecoming”, where “darkwave angst and industrial brutalism collide with Fado-esque vocals”. Electrozombies heard it as electro with a touch of synthpop, “as if Björk’s Greek cousin were at the controls”.
No release date for Licensed Fool has been announced yet. Melodramatic follows the 2025 album Digital Brutalism in his Bandcamp discography.
