Delerium have announced Exaudire, their 16th studio album, for release on 22 January 2027 through Metropolis Records. It arrives on CD and as a limited double vinyl pressed on oxblood-coloured vinyl in a deluxe gatefold sleeve. The Canadian duo of Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber take the title from the Latin for listening, hearing and being heard.
The first single, Into The Light, came out on 23 September 2026 with Diamanda Galás. The track is built around portions of her 1986 recording Deliver Me From Mine Enemies, from the album The Divine Punishment, used with her permission. It is the first time the American avant-garde singer has appeared on a Delerium record.
Exaudire runs to twelve tracks and keeps the format Delerium have used since the mid-1990s, with a rotating cast of guest singers fronting largely downtempo, atmospheric songs. Mimi Page sings on four of them, Higher Power, Buried Light, Chasing The Wind and Litany. Inna Walters, who already appeared on the 2023 album Signs, returns for Apocalypse and Multiplying Zero.
Swiss singer Jaël, a voice from the 2003 album Chimera, is back on Into The Unknown and Had To Go. English singer and pianist Phildel takes Stolen, and Los Angeles dream-pop act Magic Wands, Metropolis labelmates, appear on Dream Palace. The title track is the only song without a credited guest.
Delerium began in Vancouver in 1987 as the ambient, cinematic outlet for members of the electro-industrial group Front Line Assembly. Their best-known song remains Silence with Sarah McLachlan, and Exaudire is the follow-up to Signs.
