Naples producer Whodamanny keeps the Biloba summer going into autumn with Obsesión / Corazón Caliente, a new double single on his own Biloba label, out since 19 October.
Obsesión captures the post-summer ache of an obsessive love. The label notes frame it with a Southern intensity where obsession isn’t a flaw but a drive to love endlessly.
Corazón Caliente turns up the heat with a raw, sweat-soaked proto-house rhythm and heavy workstation brass stacks, right on the line where Italo disco meets the early house floor.
The flip side is built for DJs: a dub version called Dub Pasión and the instrumental Sueño De Verano.
Raffaele “Whodamanny” Arcella wrote and produced all four tracks, recorded and mixed them at Biloba Studio in Napoli, with voices by Clarita, Hugo and Manny and guitars by Igor “Lovski” Sekulovic. Mastering was done by Fabrizio Martina at Oister Studio in Milan.
The 12-inch (BLB1156) was lacquer cut by Frank Merritt at The Carvery in London, and the release is also available digitally.
